20060123 suffered from the infamous slice bug. That caused frequent
crashes with some glib versions. Karel, try:
export G_SLICE=always-malloc
(or if you're using csh, "setenv G_SLICE always-malloc")
before invoking gschem.
Gschem 20060123 is incompatible with newer glib's, but this fixes it.
