Re: gEDA-user: Multiple symbol gschem components
Thanks for the program John; I will play with it and see how it performs on
my schematics. My current design is a simple flat 9 page schematic so I
suspect it will run fine.
Has anyone created a program like this that will help with reference
designator backannotation? I know there has been discussion on this but I
can't remember there being a solution. After place and route and refdes
renumbering, a simple text based refdes cross reference file could be used
by a refdes backannotation script to update the schematics to match the
layout. I've never done a design where the reference designators didn't get
reunumbered and doing it manually doesn't sound like fun. An error free
method of doing this becomes particularly important when the design needs to
change a little and the layout has already been renumbered.
