gEDA-user: Breaking a track into two segments by using a hole

This is PCB 20080202 on Linux.

I've written a plugin and external program to allow me to use
Veroboard layouts within PCB.

This is working just fine for the most part, but I'm having problems
with breaking a track into two pieces - it's looking like the rats
nest routines continue to see it as one continuous track.

What I've done is to generate tracks using the fat line type and place
vias every 100 mils along each track - both the vias and the lines are
then locked. When I want to break a track, I unlock a via, convert it
to a hole, and increase the hole size to be greater than the track
width.

However, when I place a component onto the track, the rats nest
attached to the component is jumping over the hole to the other side
of the track as if the track still appears to be one continuous piece.

Does anyone have any ideas ?

Thanks,

Simon.
