gEDA-user: How to use common symbols on multiple computers using pcb

Hello to everybody,

I am new to gEDA. I was a bit frustrated that I have to draw and install that
much symbols and footprints on my own.

Now I will have to work on multiples machines (physical different).

I have just found out how to get it working that I can share all my self-drawn
symbols using nfs and a .gEDA/gafrc-file.

But I will have to draw several footprints on my own (e.g. there is no
consequent transistor inclusion possibility).

Is this right or am I only a bit silly so I can't find the right way except
for http://geda.seul.org/wiki/geda:transistor_guide ?

If not, how can I share the pcb footprint packages? Do I have do
share /usr/share/pcb via nfs or something similar? Or is there an other
opinion?

Thank you in advance
Christian
