After I verify a footprint I place the footprint file in a single
"production" directory. All machines on my network retrieve footprints
from the same directory using NFS.

To create a PCB I run a script containing the following line --

  gsch2pcb --use-files --elements-dir FOOTPRINT_DIR $@
