This is probably the biggest outstanding issue (aside from lots of
"quick hack testing" quality code!)

I guess extrusion would be fairly easy. I've not really thought about
drawing components on it yet, and I don't expect to at any point soon.

I'm just looking forward to getting some of these changes hack-free
enough to push into the repository. Polygon speed on this branch is
_much_ faster than git HEAD. I just need to _finish_ the work.
