Thank you for providing an opportunity for me to make my favorite rant: 
Those of us with the knowledge to code and a budgeted amount of time to 
code put our effort into tools with: a) an up-to-date hackers' guide, 
and b) a developer community that will give more than a 3 word answer to 
a complex question about the internals.

Yes, I could spend the time to read the code and come up to speed 
myself, I'm perfectly capable of that.  But... there are many tools out 
there than need coding resources, and I find my time is much more 
effective spent on tools other than PCB, simply for lack of developer 
documentation.
