Sorry, I am pretty new to this list/project so this discussion must be
outside my scope. But placing parts off-board is the easiest solution for
me, because this does not need an extension to the existing file format
nor change internal data structures.
Mmmh ... I think about it ... and maybe I found a solution for me and can
provide some patches.
