Announcing FreeSCI 0.2.0



Hi,

FYI: The FreeSCI project has just hit version 0.2.0.
The project's aim is to build a free and portable engine for SCI, the 'Sierra
Creative Interpreter', which succeeded AGI in 1988 and was used by Sierra
On-Line to build numerous adventure games until 1998. Currently, the project
members are focussing on the version 0.xxx SCI engine (aka SCI0), which was
used in games such as Space Quest 3, Leisure Suit Larry 2 & 3, and Quest for
Glory / Hero's Quest.

The engine is far from being complete; while limited support for most of the
required SCI resources has been written, work on the heart of the engine, the
virtual machine, has only just begun.
