Good to hear.  FYI, Adaptec + SMP = BIG NO NO.  The Adaptec drivers (last
I heard, though this could of changed recently with the recent
improvements in the Adaptec drivers) are *not* SMP compliant.  It would
boot and all that, but you'd get corruption of the FS.  Apparently Linux
Software RAID exacerbates (sp?) the problem.
