I've gotta upgrade mod_perl.  At least I hope that the reason my code ate
up all the RAM and swap and made a 200MB log file is due to a bug. :-)

Since the the bug is so nasty, I've taken out the offending code in my
script.

Since I have to recompile mod_perl anywas, I'll upgrade php to the latest
too.
