My opinion is (which is likely different from Jason's):

1)  If we get on /. great; nothing like starting a buzz about the site now
and getting people to sign on early.  If not, no big deal.  Just about
anyone who would be interested in our site reads LWN, FM, or LT as well as
/..  This is basically why I wasn't that big about announcing it on every
single Linux site in exisitance.

2)  Us submitting the article to /. isn't going to increase our chances of
getting on it.  They read LWN, FM, and LT too.  And I'm sure someone else
will forward it to /. from there.

3)  /. doesn't usually post these kind of articles.  Rob never was willing
to post anything about my RHLUFAQ site and he never posted anything about
Cheek's LKB even though Cheek emailed Rob a number of times about his
site too.
