Well I see your point. I'm probably not qualified to write the complex
lookups. I wouldn't worry about optimizing the scripts too much though.
Remember we have a Ultra SCSI bus with mirrored disks. You're only going
to do reads which will be really really fast. That and we'll run the
script around 2am when no one is using it. When the DB become so large
that we need to speed it up we'll get another CPU or optimize the code
then.
Well then, I'm going to work on the search forms. I'm going to need to
work with you on that though. I'm going to want some META tags to
optimize the searches. I'll do the research tonight and let you know.
I'm also going to work on moving the admin.linuxkb.org pages to SSL.
Daniel, quick question. If I end up moving the tree for admin say to:
/home/https/admin
is that a big deal for CVS? I don't want to make life hard for you, but
it would make my life easier to put the SSL protected trees off to the
side and off the main tree.
