ESR supports it, BP and RMS don't.  If you ask me, it *does* fall a bit
short of OSS, but that's not really the point here...

That would be OK, but I doubt stray updates would be a very big
problem.  I guess I'm thinking it would be best to stick to the Open
Content license as written, as opposed to inventing Yet Another
License(TM).
