Nov. 25th, 1999 - Status Report for Jason Pincin

I've been going every which way but loose.  This project has been in need
of some additional organization for a while, so I've been working with
Aaron and Dan on Power Steering.  Very useful, as has ben said before -
check it out if you haven't.  

Also got specs and helped insure Aaron's db.cache perl script was working
weel.  I've looked over the code, trying to become more familier with Perl
- it'll be a slow process :).

Now that it's running fine on all servers and my devel station, I'm
working support for it into the object library.  All objects will first
check cache for structure data, and in it's absence they'll directly query
the DB.  That should be done RSN.  

I've almost completed a re-work of the way object initialize there
properties.  This fits in with both security and the flag system I worked
with Dan on devising.  I'll have that finished right aroud the same time
as the cache stuff, since it's all intertwined in some wierd twisted way. 

In the future, it won't be quite so hard to addd new property types.
It'll be a lot easier than this time... you'll see :).

I have a simple change to make on the CmdSchedule DB so Aaron can go about
his business there... but I've procrastinated that... for god knows what
reasons.  I'll have that done on Friday - as I'm preping to head to my
parents for today.  (Thanksgiving)
