Why didn't my `cvs commit main/about.html` work????????

I thought it was successful when I did it last night, but my changes
aren't showing up.  Now when I run it it just returns without doing or
saying anything.

Also, I've been charged with setting up CVS at work.  Wish me luck.....
that might also consume part of my weekend...
