This is the only conclusion I can come to at this point. I have been using the latest cvs, which builds and installs fine but always fails the "make test" part of the build: make test python -tt setup.py run --subcommand=unittests Using OpenSSL from ./contrib/openssl Host is little-endian /usr/lib/python2.5/config/Makefile running run running build running build_py running build_ext running build_scripts copying and adjusting build/mixminion -> build/scripts-2.5 copying and adjusting build/mixminiond -> build/scripts-2.5 ................/bin/sh: line 2: 21154 Illegal instruction $PYTHON -tt setup.py run --subcommand=unittests make: *** [test] Error 132 The "make test" run ALMOST works for the stable build, getting quite far along before it craps out with a slew of errors via python2.5. I don't have a copy of those errors right now because I removed that version of mixminion and reinstalled the latest cvs again. praedor -- "It does me no harm that my neighbor worships 20 gods, or no God." - Thomas Jefferson
