Sounds like a reasonable enough request so long as the service is generally excellent and there are a good many remaining ports. Consider dumping them if this becomes a habit, though.

Let me answer your question with a question of my own. Why would you
not just do the thing asked of you? It seems to me they have a good
reason for making such a fare request.
