That is how I use it, though - called from an icon on the desktop. A
shortcut, if I'm reading you correctly.
The DE's that I use on a daily basis seem to assume that the CWD is ~/
when executing something from a shortcut on the desktop, or at least
this is how it appears to work. If that is not the case (i.e. it's
assuming ~/tor-browser_en-US as the CWD and not ~/), then the change
of directory at the top of the script is superfluous, and can be taken
out.
Let me try an experiment - I've just commented out the changedir at
the top, I'm tailing ~/.xession-errors, and I'm using the desktop icon
to start the TBB...
/home/drwho/tor-browser_en-US/tbb.sh: line 4: ./App/Firefox/firefox:
No such file or directory
Oops. Let's put it back and try again... and the TBB starts up. Try
it for yourself.
