Which version of Thunderbird are you using? If it is Thunderbird 24,

It's even 24.1.0! And it makes perfect sense. But it never crossed my
mind. TBB uses FF ESR, but I'm using the latest TB.
Till that time, your best bet is to use Thunderbird 17. In fact, it
would be great if you can try it with TB 17 just to confirm that the
issue doesn't lie elsewhere.
I'm going to download TB 17 ESR, and check if thigs are Ok. Than I'll be
back with a short report.
If it still doesn't work, please file a bug report
[https://trac.torproject.org/projects/tor/wiki/torbirdy/dev].
I bet you spotted the problem. But I'm going to check it out.
If TorBirdy 0.1.2 has support for Thunderbird 24, can I just leave my
current configuration and just upgrade the TorBirdy plugin? As far as I
can tell, all the connections of Thunderbird 24 are made through Tor,
less the DNS part.
