Hi, I haven't been online all this time, my computer was totally screwed.
How's that collaborative game in 8 weeks coming? are you still working on it?
if so could somebody send me what you got so far, I could beta test it.
I can't collaborate anything to it as I still have a long way to learn python, but it sure would be nice to test it.
The project has taken off now. This is the first real week of programming. The goal for this week is to have our 2d tiled map viewer up and running. From there we will be building on the actual game.

The game is 'StrikeOps', and you can see the initial design idea here,
http://pygame.org/shredwheat/strikeops/proposal.html

There are around 8 or so people with some level of involvement in the project. Currently 3-4 of us are doing the core code development now. Also with sample graphics, sound, and music just starting to show up.

There 'home' for the project is currently an online wiki. Everyone's feel to browse through it and take a look at the design. Although if you are not going to be involved in the project, please refrain from making page edits. There is now a ton of information on the wiki, from design ideas, to actual code interfaces.

We could currently use more help, here's some places to start,
We need someone to help create the sound package that is
described in this interface;
http://www.pantastik.com/strikeops/wiki/DevSound
There is also a 'live' todo list that has small things
needing doing;

Of course, there are tons of other little things we need helping hands with. If you want to get on board there is a separate mailing list 'pygame-projects@seul.org' you can subscribe to. (same as pygame-users list, you must subscribe to post). To subscribe, mail to majordomo@seul.org with "subscribe pygame-projects" in the message _body_, that's it, easy.
