[pygame] pygame crashing after a few seconds

Guys, just joined the list, so, first of all, sorry about my english 
(I'm a brazilian user).

I'm following the examples in the Beggining Game Programming with Python 
and Pygame book, but I'm having some problems... whenever the program 
uses graphic mode, for example, the program that writes random pixels of 
random colors on the screen (with locking/unlocking), and runs for a 
while (and by that I mean something like 20-30 seconds), my PC reboots. 
I'm writing with python 2.5 and pygame 1.8.1, using Idle to write but 
running on dos prompt, using windows XP. Since it just crashes out of 
the blue, I don't know what could it be...

Anybody can help?
