Hey everyone, hopefully this email works. This is my first time using a mailing list (crazy, I know).
Anyway, I am having trouble getting python to recognize (import) pygame.
I am running vista 64bit, I have Python 2.6.2 installed (works fine), I installed pygame-1.9.1.win32-py2.6.msi into my directory that contains python 2.6.2.
When I open IDLE and try: import pygame
I get this error:
IDLE 2.6.2
>>> import pygame
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "<pyshell#0>", line 1, in <module>
import pygame
File "C:\Python26\lib\site-packages\pygame\__init__.py", line 95, in <module>
from pygame.base import *
ImportError: DLL load failed: %1 is not a valid Win32 application.
I do see the pygame folder listed here root:\python26\include\pygame
I also see the pygame folder listed here root:\python26\lib\site-packages\pygame
I'm not sure what else I'm missing here.
Thanks for any helpful or insightful replies!
