yes, definitely get the latest version of py2exe. strange that there are 
problems creeping in, i had some working .EXE files with the pygame code 
right before bumping it up to 1.4. can't remember if any of them used 
the sprite module.. i'll definitely check up on that.

i'll doublecheck things with the pygame2exe script and make sure a new 
one is online today.
