PyUI is not in useable state for real game development (I don't want to start a flamewar -- this is just my point of view; try to implement several dialogs with the complex UI elements and complex layout).I thought PyUI was on top of pygame, and thus used SDL?
Well, we both have different priorities. Maybe I can recommend a wxPython then (if you know how to integrate it with Pygame). On the other hand -- some handy function for drawing a themed widget (box?) should be a worthy addition to the Pygame (a good way is to dig it out of some project -- Paragui or PicoGUI, just name a few).
PyUI seems to have this, although I've yet to try it out. At this point I'm more worried about functionality than looks.
