You'll wait for 1.9?
I think you should go ahead and wrap aacircle. That may be kinda handy. Who knows when 1.9 will come out ;) I'd volunteer, but I have a really long week and I hardly have enough time to get everything I need to do finished.
It should be a pretty trivial task, though.
If no one gets it wrapped, you can always just ctypes to it in your own code if you don't want to learn SWIG or something.
