Re: [pygame] Is pygame-ctypes dead?

Alex Holkner posted a message about pygame-ctypes in December 06, that
ended with this:

"The result of the pygame-users discussion a few months ago was that
Pygame-ctypes development would effectively be stopped, as there was
little support for it developing in place of Pygame(C). If there is
future development, it will likely be under a different module name."

Moreover in October 06, he made a post about the status of
pygame-ctypes that started with this:

"Functionality is complete"

----

From those posts, I had got the impression that Alex finished the
development, but because those in control of the pygame project
basically said that they didn't want it and wouldn't use it, it became
a fork with no owner. Also as I recall there could have been further
work to improve performance, but nobody saw any point in doing it.

PS. the activestate archives seem to be missing these posts... here is
an archive link to the first one from somewhere else

Hi,

I wonder what happened to the pygame-ctypes project lately. Is the
development just stalled
because of not enough time or did the author loose the interest in it?
Some rumors I heard in #pygame were that the author was pretty
disappointed of the rather
hot discussion we had some time ago (with me and Rene strongly
promoting the C version :-).

So what's its current state?
