Hi,
I have updated the Windows binaries at http://www3.telus.net/len_l/pygame/ to release candidate 3 for Pythons 2.4 and 2.5. I also refreshed the documentation. pygame-1.8-docs-and-examples.tar.gz should be useful for non-Windows users as well.
Here are the md5sums:
0698d16c38e55e70881c3d4f1fca3607 *pygame-1.8.1b03.win32-py2.4.msi
6c498f730ff4bc8a1dfb4abece5d1d34 *pygame-1.8.1b03.win32-py2.5.msi
9afd75e5fde8e168e1cf9a0ac3a821a0 *pygame-1.8-docs-and-examples.tar.gz
10d19828af1d49fc336486dc2435555c *pygame-1.8-docs-setup.exe
Have fun,
Lenard
P.S. If I can figure out what is going on with pygame.transform I may also get a Python 2.6 release binary out.

You can get automated builds for win/mac from here:

There's only been one change since Lenards last windows binary release.
I think this is definitely it for 1.8.1.
Unless there are patches for bugs with unittests, or a really bad bug
is found, this will be 1.8.1 to be released this weekend.
This will likely become 1.8.1 with hopefully no changes.
