I've already made a .deb of 1.0 (and earlier versions) for unstable, which you
can find at http://pygame.seul.org/download.shtml.

I don't know how it compares to yours - I have made quite a few versions, and
made sure things like generating .pyc files work correctly, but perhaps you
have too.

If you're interested in maintaining it, particularly if you are or know a
friendly Debian maintainer and can get it in the archive proper, let me know.

I'd love to see it migrate down into Debian stable!
