[pygame] Window does not resize (or show up..)

Hi there,

I'm very new to Python and PyGame. I tried the simple demo on
http://www.pygame.org/docs/tut/intro/intro.html and all I get to start
with is the window bar. (See http://www.novalicious.com/pyIntro.png for
screen shot, the funny icon with the arrow down is due to ATI's
HydraVision.. If this is disabled I still get the same result).

IF I try to move the window bar, then the whole window shows up and the
demo is running correctly !

I have tried a few other small demos from my friends and it is always
the same.

I'm running Windows XP Pro, ATI Radeon 9700 Pro (with latest drivers,
3.8).

Anyone know why this is the case ?
