Richard,
I'm back home so now I can really check this issue out. I just tried to sign in using Konqueror and wasn't even able to sign in. But it also appears that my version of Konqueror is broken. I may have to upgrade my system to get the latest Firefox / Konqueror so I can investigate this more.
What version of Konqueror were you using?
