Inspire, Inc, the Linux distribution company that has built its name on
an innovative distribution and has been in trouble with Mightysoft for
using the name "Lindows," has - unless someone is faking it - created a
website called oooff.com
oooff.com sells a CD for USD29.95 (down from USD49.95, it says)
containing the latest stable builds of OpenOffice.Org and Firefox.
I know that some people have difficulty in downloading large files and
that OOo is particularly huge but even allowing for the fact that
postage is included, that seems an awful lot of money for burning free
files to a CD and sending it to people.
I can get all of that and more on a CD in the computer malls of KL for
RM5 - that's USD1.25.
