You can also add to that the great Blizzard of 2007 that we had here in Saskatchewan, Canada. Couldn't see a thing... barely the back fence. All the roads closed for a couple of days... but, power stayed on... thank goodness.

Parents in Saskatoon took up to 5 hours to pickup their children from school. (and maybe only 10 blocks to school...)
