As to where the need for boys to play games such as war and killing things, I am going to go with Doug, it is hard wired. But I don't think that this behavior is bad. Boys need to know deep inside of them that they are dangerous (in a good way) and that they have what it takes to pull through in any situation. They need to know that if they were ever called apon to protect someone that they would be able to do it. They need to know they have "what it takes" to intervene on behalf of others. So don't discourage the behavior, teach him he has what it takes, take him on adventures. Teach him the reality of war but allow him to know that if he was called on to go to war that he would have what it takes to fight and fight well. Then you will have a man. Just my two cents. -Jonathan -- Jonathan Hughes <declaretruth@yahoo.com> Message digitally signed for security. Signature.asc is the digital signature.
