Possibly FREESCO if you want a dedicated, floppy-based distro.
Otherwise, I built a gateway / firewall out of an old Thinkpad 486 using
a light Debian load. Package list:
http://linuxmafia.com/~karsten/Download/debian-gw_fw-packages
From a base Debian install, download that list, then:
dpkg --get-selections debian-gw_fw-packages
apt-get dselect-upgrade
You might want to add the shorewall firewall to that selection.
