FOUND ONE Re: [school-discuss] POS billing package?



Friends,
You may recall I've been asking for a good piece of Free Software
(GPL) that helps print out invoices and facilitates billing.

Well I think I found one: SQL-ledger. I d-loaded it from here:

I finally managed to install it, allbeit that I'm unfamiliar with
postreSQL (whereas I'm familiar with mySQL), and it looks like it is
designed nicely. The web management interface is really nice once it is
finally running. Now I'm just waiting to fill-in and print out my first
invoice.... kinda' excited....

Here's what I know so far:

REQUIREMENTS:

   1. Web server (Apache, thttpd, ....)
   2. Perl 5+
   3. SQL Server ( PostgreSQL 7+, Oracle )
   4. Database Independant Interface DBI
   5. Database Driver for SQL server DBD ( DBD-Pg, DBD-Oracle )
   6. LaTeX (optional)
