Ok, there is already the FHS for Core and the Debian Policy Manual for the
Distribution Base. I see little need in rewriting things that have already
been done or using resources to reinvent wheels at this stage. We can
adopt the documents and standards that already exist and suggest
modifications to them where it benefits the community. We adopt the
Debian Policy manual to start with as a model to work from, and if we run
into problems with it, we feed that back into Debian with our suggested
changes. If they do not adopt them and we can not live without the
changes, we diverge. If we have to write a new FHS, and new Policy
Manual, a new everything before we do anything, we will be up to our ears
in paper projects before a computer ever gets booted.

Lets adopt the documents that already work and shine them up as we go
along.
