Re: [seul-edu] School count

Our school is using Linux throughout, for students, teachers, and
administrators. We have a Linux firewall, server, and workstations. Linux
handles our email and our web site (filtered for the students). We have a
total of 55 machines, and growing. A small number of machines are leftover
W95 boxes being phased out.

On the desktops, students use Star Office, Tux Type, KTouch, GIMP, KOffice,
gcompris, and so forth. We have a site license for Kidpix, so we run it on
Linux using wine. Students do presentations, spreadsheets, web research, and
HTML authoring.

Our software expendature last year was $0.00!

Thanks,

Robert
