I don't know if this is the kind of thing you're looking for, but
there seems to be a lot of interest in 'object publishing' -- or
something -- hard to keep up with all the jargon -- with
Python. There are two different Python-based DOM implementations
available, one of which is CORBA-based. Myself, I've only begun
exploring this stuff, so I can't really tell you what they do, but it
sort of sounds like the right ballpark, anyway. The (rather obvious)
