software list and developer's tools

Right now, we have a "wish" list and an "existing" list. I'll be getting
the many items mentioned on the list in the last few days added today.

If we track developer's tools on the page, I'm thinking that a separate
section (or a separate page) would be the right way to go. Dev tools are
more weta-ware than edu-ware, and there are already several sites that
track these (freshmeat.net, etc.)

However, those sites probably do not rate the usefulness for educational
software development. That would be the primary reason to do any tracking
ourselves.
