'Peanuts' Creator Charles M. Schulz Dead at 77
SANTA ROSA, Calif. (Reuters) - ``Peanuts'' creator Charles
M. Schulz, 77, died peacefully at home late Saturday, three
months after revealing he was diagnosed with colon cancer, and
on the eve of publication of his farewell Sunday comic strip. Schulz' son, Craig Schulz, told Reuters that the
cartoonist, who created one of the most widely syndicated and
best loved comic strips in the world, died at around 9:30 p.m.
PST (12:30 a.m. EST Sunday).
