Great! Well, I'm the Debian maintainer of typist, and have long
recognized how primitive typist is and how much it could be improved.
I even toyed with the idea of taking over from upstream, which has
basically lost interest in further development, after writing Jtypist.
I did try to get Jtypist going, but never could get it working properly
with my JDK.
I'll give this a try, and if it looks worthwhile, I'll announce an ITP
on debian-devel.
