Re: Fw: [seul-edu] Why use Linux?
Heh, I souldn't bank on all the 'highest-paying good jobs' these days with
the way Wall Street's acting up :) Of course, techies are still very very
much in demand, so it's still a good thing... but just knowing Linux isn't
enough :)
Which brings me to my second point - there is no end to the stuff you can
learn on Linux. The main reason I personally found Linux irresistible was
the fact that I could learn so much from it... I should probably expand that
to the entire OpenSource movement since it's hard for either to stand on
their own I think.
With Winodws or whatever, after a couple of weeks of intense use, I was at a
loss of things I could do :) With Linux I know there's a whole world out
there I still want to learn about, and believe me I have been using it for
years now :) it just doesn't end.
For all the thirst for knowledge in you, get Linux.
