Agreed.

Only if you have all the eye candy turned on. Basic E works very well
on slower machines (I've run it successfully and cleanly on low end P2s
and Pentiums, but only the .16 series - anything before that, especially
.13-.14 is atrocious)
Otherwise, my recommendations are IceWM or Windowmaker.
