First, after thinking about it it seems to me that Ian's writeup should
stand by itself. Then the question becomes what to do with Miguel's proposed
project. I don't like to see it left as a current project since nothing
is likely to happen until there is sufficient interest. My suggestion is
to have Ian's writeup as a proposed logo project and Miguel's project as
a proposed 3D LOGO project. Also should we be consistent with logo, Logo
or LOGO. Next, I have created a second URL http://cran.mit.edu/~hopcroft/prospective_projects/logo
which when accessed will show the embedded HTML so that the HTML experts
on the list can suggest improvements. Wil asked me to wait with submitting
proposed projects while a template is being worked on. However, it seems
to me that another proposed project or two can't make that much difference
and the world could be seeing them in the meantime. In any case, I will
set things up as follows:
.../prospective_projects/index.html (to contain the list of proposed
projects)
.../prospective_projects/logo.html
.../prospective_projects/logo (html showing,temporary during a review
period)
.../prospective_projects/xxx.html
...etc.
