Translations can be done on-line.  Just go to:

http://k12admin.cmsd.bc.ca/k12admin/

and login as frenchteacher with demopass as the password.

Click on the "Domain Tools" and then "Localize String Database links" to
enter french translations for the strings that I have done.  The
translations should start showing up on the web interface as soon as you
submit them.
