"tgif" by William Chia-Wei Cheng is a really nice vector drawing program
with a really ugly interface. It's not GPL'd, but I believe the
copyright does allow "derivative works", and thus it could be modified
with a nice GUI. Please, someone do this! I'd be glad to help, but I'm
really not enough of a programmer to take it on myself.
