Re: [tor-bugs] #6161 [EFF-HTTPS Everywhere]: HTTPS-Everywhere breaks reCAPTCHA on bb.arethusa.su
#6161: HTTPS-Everywhere breaks reCAPTCHA on bb.arethusa.su
-------------------------------------+--------------------------------------
Reporter: gk | Owner: pde
Type: defect | Status: closed
Priority: normal | Milestone:
Component: EFF-HTTPS Everywhere | Version:
Resolution: invalid | Keywords:
Parent: | Points:
Actualpoints: |
-------------------------------------+--------------------------------------
Changes (by pde):
* status: accepted => closed
* resolution: => invalid
Comment:
You mean why it does _not_ expect a referrer, no?
(My implicit reasoning had been that this instance of reCAPTCHA was saying
"invalid referrer" because the HTTP->HTTPS request caused the browser not
to send a referrer)
If you open http://bb.arethusa.su/viewforum.php?id=5 (i.e. the forum
via plain HTTP) in a new clean profile without any add-ons and try to post
a new topic you'll get the invalid Referer error as well.
OK. So in contradiction to the report, this bug is reproducible without
HTTPS E, and I can close it?
