Unfortunately, some implementations of Googleâs ReCAPTCHA doesnât work well with _javascript_ (and perhaps cookies) turned off.

I suggest using Disconnect search instead - itâs the default search in the Tor Browser 5 series:
https://disconnect.me/search

This issue with ReCAPTCHA also affects sites using CloudFlare, but doesnât affect Torâs own Trac site.
