With VPS providers, there is also the issue of CPU usage.
If the host machine does not have the AES-NI acceleration or does not expose
it to the VPS guest (and this is extremely common), a relay even at some 50Mbit
in + 50Mbit out will already consume 100% of a modern 2.3 GHz CPU core, 24x7.
Many or even most VPS providers will not be okay with that.
